Amsterdam Day Retreat
Saturday August 27th, Amsterdam Bos
Join The Äventyr as we dive into nature, and deeper into ourselves for a day retreat experience in the forest of Amsterdam.
We will join together at Amsterdam Bos, arriving at the front entrance at 10am and from there we will take a mindful walk through the forest.
We will find our sacred spot to first do our Welcoming Ceremony with Brittany Costa and a Gentle Yoga session.
Following that we will sink into Pranayama and Meditation with Jarl Hector.
Afterwards we will nourish our bodies with a holistic lunch (please note this is a separate ticket if you would like for us to provide one for you, or you are welcome to bring your own).
From there we will practice Authentic Relating with our Collaborator, Sieta van Hork, finishing at 4:30pm for a full day well-being experience.
Authentic Relating
As a Consciousness Guide, Sieta van Hork connects traditional psychology with spirituality and transpersonal guidance in order to form a holistic understanding of what it means to be a human-being in this current time. Authentic Relating is the practice of bringing our truth into connection with others’, so that we can weave a more rich and truthful human experience.
The Games played during our gathering are an easy and fun way to help us experience deeper connections, boost empathy, see the world through others’ eyes, and understand ourselves better so that we can enjoy and play with life more.
By the end of a games, you may feel like you've known each other for a long time; entering as strangers, and leaving feeling like lifelong friends.
Breath Work
Pranyama (Breath Work) is the practice of breath regulation; in Sanskrit, “prana” means life energy and “yama” means control or respect.
Pranayama is an ancient breath technique that originates from traditional yoga practices in India. It involves controlling the breath through different techniques. These specific forms of breathing exercises clear the physical and emotional obstacles in our body, so there is a better flow of prana, or life energy. These different techniques include:
● Deep breathing with ratios
● Fast breathing
● Alternate Nostril Breathing
● Circular breathing
We love incorporating different forms of pranayama in our Äventyr Experiences, to help improve the flow of our life energy, and to connect as a community by sharing this energy.
Gentle Yoga
Our Gentle Yoga session is a slow moving, and simple flow that opens and relaxes the body while calming the mind, helping to release tension throughout.
With every deep inhale we create more space, and every deep exhale moves us into that new space. The deeper we breathe, the more opens up.
Designed to activate your body’s Relaxation Response—a chemical cascade responsible for overall health, healing and well-being—we create a healthy balance between flexibility, stability and mobility.
We find the ease by moving gently and exploring where we are, rather than forcing to be somewhere else.
